Nine O'Clock Players
Theatre for Children Program

Nine O’Clock Players Theatre Program
Founded in 1929, the Assistance League Theater is one of the oldest continuously performing children’s theaters in the United States. Our mission for 94 years has been to introduce children to the magic of live performance, literature, and music through the joy of theatre.
The Nine O’Clock Players (“NOP”) Theatre for Children Program annually hosts more than 17,000 children from the Los Angeles area. NOP provides two full musical productions of classic children’s literature with life lessons adapted for children today. Field trips to the theater, at no or low cost, are provided to school children and families, particularly low-income and special needs students who might not be otherwise exposed to the magic of live theatre. During the pandemic, NOP even developed virtual performances and educator resources to provide meaningful arts enrichment that brings the magic of theatre into your home!

Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy! Willy Wonka touches on the troubles that are brought about when people are left to be spoiled and bossy, and also shows how you can make beautiful things with a touch of “pure imagination.”
This upcoming season join us, Charlie Bucket, and the Ompa Loompas for a giganticus, swashboggling, scrumdiddlyumptious, raucously good time!
