Foster Children’s
Resource Center

About the program
Foster Children’s Resource Center (“FCRC”) has been in operation since 1990. FCRC provides critically needed clothes, underwear, blankets, toiletries, backpacks, school supplies, books, and toys to foster children. Often these children are removed from their homes in the middle of the night with only the clothes on their back. Each child is given the supplies they desperately need along with care, attention, dignity and respect.
Social workers, foster parents, and family members report that after visiting FCRC, children experience a boost in self-esteem and improved school attendance and performance.

Why volunteer with the
Foster Children’s Resource Center?
The enormous smile on the faces of the children as they leave the Foster Children’s Resource Center says it all! Every child that enters is taken on a wonderful shopping experience that makes them feel special. With their volunteer “personal shopper” they choose their new clothing, pajamas, under garments, jacket, school supplies, books, toiletries, and a toy or a gift. Children leave FCRC with their new items, a sense of self-esteem, and the hope that they are going to be okay. All of this helps their school attendance, academic performance, and confidence.
Volunteering at FCRC is a joyful and rewarding experience. You will deeply impact so many lives! FCRC brings smiles and tears of joy to all!
