Young Professionals Group
Find your purpose. Impact your community.
We are thrilled you are interested in joining the Assistance League of Los Angeles Community!
Our Young Professionals Group (“YPG”) is one of 10 membership groups that support the mission and activities of the League. This diverse group of early and mid-career professionals represent a variety of companies throughout Los Angeles County, such as Paramount, Mount Saint Mary’s University, and Cedars-Sinai. They participate in various group volunteer projects for the League’s programs and develop lasting friendships while doing good for the community.
MEMBERSHIP ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
- Being a personal shopper to homeless and foster youth who receive new clothes and essential supplies from our Operation School Bell program and Foster Children’s Resource Center
- Hosting school supply, book and blanket donation drives for low-income children
- Enjoying our “Serve and Stretch” series featuring volunteer service days to make personal grooming kits, followed by a yoga session and brunch
- Attending fun networking events such as our holiday karaoke and headshot parties
To accommodate busy schedules, you can volunteer as much or as little as your time allows. There is no minimum commitment outside of submitting annual membership dues of $50.
Since alcohol is served at many YPG events, the preferred membership age is 21 years and up.
All members must adhere to our COVID Vaccination policy and Background Screening when serving in person.
