Operation School Bell In-Person Visits
We welcome you and your students to visit us at our office in Hollywood for a 1 on 1 personalized shopping experience!
At each appointment, every student will be paired up with one of our awesome member volunteers who will help each child pick out a brand new backpack and fill it with their favorite shoes, clothing, grooming supplies, school materials, and even a toy! While they wait for their turn in our lobby brimming with games, activities, and snacks, they can even pick out a brand new book (or two!) to take home!

Operation School Bell Virtual Backpacks
Unable to bring your students in? No problem! We offer a virtual service option!
Based upon measurement information provided, OSB member volunteers will handpick the best clothing, shoes, grooming and school supplies, a book, and a toy and pack everything into a backpack with lots of love! Once all of the individualized backpacks are complete, you can then pick up your items and distribute them to your children.
To get started, simply click on the orange button below to fill out a brief initial request form. This form will allow us to double check that you are in our service area and get your order into our system. After your request is approved, you will receive an email with a measurement form. Fill out the form with each student’s sizes, height, weight, and age and send it back to us via email. Once we receive your completed measurement form, we will put all your backpacks together, and circle back when then are ready for pick up!

Operation School Bell on Wheels
Operation School Bell is coming to a school near you!
Every year, Operation School Bell takes our 48-foot trailer, twice a month, to various Los Angeles Unified School District (“LAUSD”) sites around the county. At each “Wheels” visit we spend the morning with 300+ students getting them outfitted for school with brand new clothing and kicks!

PILOT PROGRAM: Middle School & High School Emergency Closets
We understand that a child’s needs don’t stop at the 5th grade therefore this year we are piloting an emergency closet program for our Middle School and High School students!
This Fall, we have chosen several schools across Los Angeles County to receive an assortment of clothing, underwear, socks, hoodies, blankets, towels, and miscellaneous grooming supplies to be on hand in their support offices so that underserved youth can choose the item or items they need most!
If you are interested in Operation School Bell bringing an “Emergency Closet” to your site, simply click on the orange button to submit a request.
As we are still testing out this program, any available Emergency Closets would be distributed in the Spring 2024 Semester.
