Preschool Temporary Closure Effective March 16, 2020

Mother and Child with Masks

To help ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, families and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, Assistance League of Los Angeles closed the Preschool Learning Center effective Monday, March 16, 2020.

While the preschool is temporarily closed, the League continues to support our students and families. On March 27, 2020 the League provided every preschool family with a $120 Food 4 Less/Ralph’s grocery gift card to purchase nutritious food for their preschool child.

On April 24, 2020 the League provided a second $120 Food 4 Less/Ralphs grocery gift card to preschool families. Each family also received a home activity & learning package to help children continue their learning and development at home. 100% of families received grocery gift cards, books, and home activity & learning package.

Thank you to the Preschool Auxiliary and the tremendous generosity of our members in providing the grocery gift cards to our deserving preschool families!

During this temporary closure, our preschool teachers contact each family by phone twice a week to provide learning guidance, discuss the preschooler’s growth and development, and offer additional resources to support the family’s emotional and physical health.

Staff at the Preschool Learning Center looks forward to serving families in our community again. With all required CDE and CDC safety procedures in place, we eagerly anticipate reopening on July 1, 2020!
