For nearly 100 years, Assistance League of Los Angeles has worked to improve the lives of underserved, foster and homeless children in our community. From providing a week’s worth of school clothes to children in need, to producing live musical theater for low-income students, the League’s member volunteers improve the lives of 22,000 children annually.
The League’s Family Day of Service series is a unique opportunity for local families to give back to children in need while exposing our next generation of philanthropists to our legacy of service.
Please join us at our next Family Day of Service event where we will instruct volunteers on how to make no-sew fleece blankets that will be given to foster youth served at our Foster Children’s Resource Center (FCRC).
Here’s a preview of what we have in store for the day:
- Making no-sew fleece blankets for youth in foster care
- Creating cards with encouraging messages
- Enjoying kid-friendly entertainment from the world-famous Magic Castle magicians
- And much more!
Due to the nature of the volunteer activities planned, this FREE event is best suited for ages 10+, but all are welcome.
