On December 6th at the Wilshire Country Club, Assistance League of Los Angeles members came out in force to celebrate the many accomplishments of 2017 and to honor the hardworking members that made that possible. The gathering included six past presidents, smiling members from all Auxiliaries and an excellent financial report from our auditor, Tom Schulte from Armanino, and the League CFO Rafe Pery.
Board of Directors President Lisa Wierwille and League CEO both reported on significant milestones achieved in 2017 including an increase in service delivery in all League programs, the establishment of The Centennial Committee, a new Scholarship Program for graduating seniors in LAUSD’s Homeless and Foster divisions, and many others.
Seven members were acknowledged for 50 and 60 years of membership and awards were given to: Helen Green, Jacqueline Hallaian, Carol Soucek, Arlen Range O’Hara, Susan Rudy, Louisa Mullin Herrmann and Lucetta Kallis.
With such a beautiful celebration of service work to end 2017, everyone is looking forward to an even greater 2018!
