LAPD assists OSB

Elementary students in North Hills get new threads, school supplies delivered

At Langdon Elementary School in North Hills Friday morning, some lucky students got new duds, thanks to the Assistance League of Los Angeles.

The Assistance League provides clothes and school supplies for children in need through its Operation School Bell program. On Friday, the League rolled out its 53-foot-long trailer, Operation School Bell on Wheels, stocked with pants, tops, jackets, socks and shoes and outfitted with dressing rooms for kids to try on their new threads. The students, chosen on the basis of need and family income, each got a new outfit, backpack and grooming supplies.
